Connecticut Treasurer Erick Russell Named to Rodel Fellowship Class of 2027

HARTFORD, Conn. — State Treasurer Erick Russell has been selected for the Rodel Fellowship Class of 2027, the Connecticut Office of the State Treasurer announced October 30, joining state and local elected leaders from across the country.
The Rodel Fellowship, run by the Rodel Institute, is a leadership development program for elected officials. Each year it selects state and local leaders from both parties to take part in three multi-day seminars over two years, focused on strengthening democracy and public leadership. The institute has published the full Class of 2027 roster.
Russell heads the office that safeguards Connecticut's financial resources; the treasurer serves as principal fiduciary for the state's six pension funds and 13 trust funds, overseeing prudent cash and debt management. The treasurer's office said the selection reflects his record in public finance. The honor does not change state fiscal policy, and the office's day-to-day work is unaffected.
