NAIC Fall National Meeting Opens Nov. 14 in Dallas

State insurance regulators from across the United States will gather in Dallas, Texas, next week. The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) says its 2026 Fall National Meeting will be held November 14-17, 2026, in Dallas, in a hybrid format allowing in-person or virtual attendance. It is the association's third and final national meeting of the year; the Summer National Meeting was held August 11-14 in Columbus, Ohio.
The NAIC's three national meetings each year showcase the collaboration and coordination at the heart of the U.S. state-based system of insurance regulation. Committee, task force and working group sessions will take up financial solvency, fraud, health insurance accessibility and affordability, natural catastrophe risk, emerging technologies and more. Attendees include state insurance regulators, insurance industry representatives, consumer advocates, policymakers and other interested parties from the U.S. and around the world.
Published agenda materials show a meeting of the NAIC/Consumer Liaison Committee and a joint meeting of the Pre-Disaster Mitigation and Risk Modeling and Severe Peril working groups on Saturday, November 14, and a Property and Casualty Insurance Committee meeting on Tuesday, November 17. Registration is open, and attendees can join in person in Dallas or virtually.
For ordinary policyholders, such meetings may seem remote, but they are where the states align their regulatory yardsticks: model laws, solvency tools and market-conduct standards are typically debated and shaped there before returning to the states for adoption.
