Flyers Forwards Konecny and Tippett Near Return

On November 1, good news arrived for the Philadelphia Flyers of Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania: leading forwards Travis Konecny and Owen Tippett could return for the 4 p.m. home game that day against the Utah Mammoth. According to the team status report published by NHL.com on November 1, Konecny and Tippett have been activated from the injured list, and both skated in regular practice jerseys at the November 1 practice.
Konecny, 29, missed the past 10 games with a lower-body injury suffered on October 8 against the Ottawa Senators, and was out for the rest of October; Tippett missed five games with an upper-body injury. Flyers head coach Rick Tocchet said on November 1 that both looked good that day, and that final decisions on whether they play would come after treatment in the afternoon. Konecny is the Flyers' second-highest-paid forward, and his return is an important boost to the attack of the top two forward lines. The Flyers host the Mammoth at home, with the game carried on local broadcast channels.
