Honda Recalls 4,804 CR-V and Accord Hybrids Again: Tire Repair Kit Cap May Detach

Sunday, November 8, 2026 · Technology · GSM News

Honda is recalling 4,804 vehicles, including certain 2023-2026 CR-V Hybrid and Accord Hybrid models and the 2025 CR-V Fuel Cell EV, according to a recall acknowledgment issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) under campaign number 26V663. The vehicles were previously remedied under an earlier recall, 26V366, and will need the new remedy as well.

The problem involves the tire repair kit supplied with the vehicles. When the kit is used, pressure may build within the sealant bottle, causing the bottle cap to detach. NHTSA said a detached cap can become a projectile and strike the user or others nearby, increasing the risk of injury.

Dealers will inspect and replace the tire repair kit nozzle as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on November 16, 2026. Honda's number for this recall is PPW, and owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-866-784-1870. The vehicle identification numbers involved became searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 17, 2026. (Source: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration)
