The 18th Greece Race for the Cure took place in Athens on Sunday, 4 October 2026. The event aims to raise awareness about breast cancer, emphasise the importance of prevention and early diagnosis, and support women with experience of breast cancer and their families.

This year's edition was held for the first time at Pedion tou Areos park and included a 5-kilometre road race and a 2-kilometre walk, along with health and awareness activities over the weekend. The event is organised by the Panhellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer together with the City of Athens Culture, Sports and Youth Organisation, under the approval of Think Pink Europe.

The Athens Chamber of Trades joined this year's supporters: more than 150 member businesses responded to the chamber's call to participate, with the chamber covering their participation costs. The chamber and the association have signed a cooperation agreement providing a framework for joint awareness and support activities.

The run is one of Athens' largest public health charity events each autumn. For Chinese residents in Greece, citywide events of this kind are also a window into local community life. The organisers say details of the next edition and registration will be announced through the association's channels.
