Hemet to Swear In Fire Chief Ryon Dierck on Oct. 15 at City Council Chambers; Community Invited

HEMET — Hemet is a city in Riverside County, California. Hemet's new fire chief will be formally sworn in on the morning of October 15. According to an invitation posted on the City of Hemet's News Flash page, the swearing-in ceremony for Fire Chief Ryon Dierck is set for Thursday, October 15, at 9:30 a.m. in the Hemet City Council Chambers, 450 E. Latham Avenue. The city noted that the entrance and parking are located behind the Police Department, and invited community members to attend.
The Hemet Fire Department's official page now lists Dierck as fire chief. The department operates five fire stations serving the city. The chief's post had previously been covered on an interim basis: on September 8 the City Council approved a resolution appointing Cameron Phillips as an extra-help fire chief effective September 14.
The same city News Flash carried other municipal items: the City Council on September 29 unanimously approved an employment agreement appointing Ernest N. 'Ernie' Reyna as city manager, and the Fire Department responded at 5:23 p.m. on October 10 to a residential structure fire in the 2800 block of Fruitvale Avenue.
The swearing-in ceremony is open to the public, and no registration was announced. The city did not publish a program or duration for the ceremony.
