Lake Elsinore is a city in Riverside County, California. The Asian Glow Fest — Water Lanterns & Kite Festival will take place in Lake Elsinore on Oct. 17–18 (Saturday and Sunday), from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. each day at Elm Grove Beach, 500 W Lakeshore Dr., Lake Elsinore, CA 92530.
Admission is free and the event is open to all ages. Water lanterns are sold separately; according to organizer information carried by local outlet Elsinore 24/7, each lantern costs $20. The lanterns are battery-powered LED lights with no open flame. Participants can write wishes or messages on their lanterns before a collective release onto the lake after sunset, and the organizer will collect all lanterns after the event.
Alongside the lantern experience, the festival will feature a kite festival, Asian food vendors, a night market and live music and entertainment. Vendor booths for food, drinks and desserts, merchandise, crafts and community and cultural groups remain open for application, according to the organizer.
Details and lantern purchases are available on the organizer's Eventbrite event page; the festival's social media account is @AsianglowfestCA. (Sources: organizer's Eventbrite page; Elsinore 24/7)
