Asian Glow Fest Brings Kites, a Night Market and Water Lanterns to Lake Elsinore's Elm Grove Beach Oct. 17-18
LAKE ELSINORE — Lake Elsinore is a city in Riverside County, California. An Asia-themed outdoor festival comes to the Lake Elsinore shoreline this weekend. According to event information published by the Southern California family guide KidsGuide, the Asian Glow Fest: Water Lanterns & Kite Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday, October 17-18, at Elm Grove Beach in Lake Elsinore, and admission is free.
The festival features colorful kites, Asian food, music and a night market, along with a glowing community water lantern release on the lake after dark, the listing said. Elm Grove Beach is one of the city's main public lakefront event spaces.
Lake Elsinore is one of Southern California's largest natural freshwater lakes, and its beaches and parks host fishing, camping and festival events year-round. This weekend coincides with a Santa Ana wind event across Southern California, and outdoor schedules can change with the weather; no day-by-day schedule was published in the guide listing, and attendees can check the event's public channels for updates.
This is a community-events update: the City of Lake Elsinore issued no new single-item news release concerning the city this week, and the information above comes from a publicly published events guide, credited here for verification.
