Zelenskiy Confirms US Has Resumed Intelligence Sharing With Ukraine After Three-Day Pause

KYIV — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy confirmed in a pre-recorded interview aired on NBC's Meet the Press on October 18 that US intelligence sharing with Ukraine has resumed after a pause of about three days, saying it had been 'de-blocked' and 'now it works.'
Zelenskiy said that during the pause Ukraine received no warnings of incoming Russian ballistic missile strikes. The friction came as Kyiv and Washington differed over Ukrainian strikes on Russian energy facilities; Washington has also waived some Russia sanctions and tariffs under the Graham Act, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio saying the president would take up to 60 days to weigh the impact.
Intelligence sharing is a key element of US support for Ukraine's air defence and battlefield warning. Neither side disclosed further details on the reasons for the pause and resumption. (GSM, via Reuters)
