Suns, Oso Ighodaro Agree to Three-Year, $29 Million Extension

Phoenix is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona. The Phoenix Suns have agreed to a three-year, $29 million contract extension with 23-year-old center Oso Ighodaro. His agent, Erika Ruiz of Prime Sports Agency, confirmed the deal to ESPN, reporter Shams Charania reported.
The extension kicks in after his current deal: the team will exercise his $2.5 million team option for 2027-28, with the new contract running from the summer of 2028 through the 2030-31 season. Ighodaro, a Desert Mountain High School product from Chandler, Arizona, who played at Marquette, was the No. 40 pick in the 2024 NBA draft. Last season he played all 82 games with 24 starts, averaging 6.5 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 65.3%. New head coach Jordan Ott has praised Ighodaro's playmaking and feel for the game as a fit for the Suns' future system. (GSM, via ESPN and ClutchPoints)
