MIAMI — Early voting for the 2026 general election began on October 19 in Miami-Dade County, Florida, with 28 early voting sites across the county open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through November 1. During early voting, any registered voter in the county may cast a ballot at any site; on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, voters must go to their assigned precinct.

Supervisor of Elections Alina Garcia said registered voters have three ways to vote: by mail, during early voting, or on Election Day. Requests for a mail ballot must be made by 5 p.m. on October 22, and completed mail ballots can be returned to any early voting site during the early voting period or to designated elections offices by 7 p.m. on November 3. The voter registration deadline passed on October 5.

Early voting sites include the Fascell Conference Center at Miami Dade College's Kendall Campus, the Coral Gables Branch Library, Florida International University's Student Academic Success Center, the Stephen P. Clark Government Center in downtown Miami, and the Supervisor of Elections office in Doral. Voters must show photo identification, according to the county elections department.

The November 3 election will decide Florida's next governor and several state constitutional amendments and other ballot questions. Early voting also opened the same day in neighboring Broward and Monroe counties in South Florida. (GSM, based on Miami-Dade Elections and USA Today)
