Thursday, October 22, 2026 · California · GSM News

RIVERSIDE, California — The City of Riverside, in Riverside County, California, is recruiting its next city manager and is inviting residents, business owners and community stakeholders to weigh in on the search. The city hosted an in-person community forum on October 21 to explain the recruitment process and gather input on city priorities and the leadership qualities residents want in the next city manager, with Spanish and American Sign Language interpretation available.

Residents who could not attend can complete the city's online community survey, offered in English and Spanish, which remains open until 5 p.m. on Friday, October 23. The city said input from the forum and survey will inform the City Council's selection. The city manager is the city's top administrator, responsible for carrying out council decisions and running day-to-day municipal operations. (GSM, based on the City of Riverside event notice)
