WASHINGTON, D.C. — Mayor Muriel Bowser of Washington, D.C. announced $5 million in funding to accelerate startups and released the State of DC Tech 2026 report. According to the mayor's office, the funding includes $800,000 to Plug and Play to run four accelerator cohorts supporting 40 companies, and seven investments by the DC Venture Capital Fund totaling $3.15 million; the $26 million fund is matched at least dollar-for-dollar by private capital.
