Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser announced during the 11th annual DC Startup and Tech Week that the District will invest more than $5 million to support local startups and the technology ecosystem.
The new Technology Ecosystem Fund made its first $2 million in grants: $600,000 to New Majority Ventures to support 55 founders, $600,000 to SOAR Bio for five life sciences companies housed at Children's National Hospital, and $800,000 to Plug and Play for four accelerator cohorts serving 40 companies.
