San Diego Triathlon Challenge Runs October 23-25 in La Jolla With 150+ Athletes With Physical Disabilities

The Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) is holding its flagship San Diego Triathlon Challenge, fueled by Toyota, from October 23 to 25 in La Jolla, in San Diego County, California. More than 150 athletes with physical disabilities and 600 fundraising supporters are taking part in the weekend.
The weekend includes the Heroes of Sport Awards, adaptive sports clinics, the Tour de Cove ride, the 5K Walk + Roll presented by Nike, the Kids Run + Roll, and the signature triathlon challenge. Many participants will race using CAF-funded racing wheelchairs, handcycles and running prosthetics.
CAF co-founder Bob Babbitt said nothing captures the heart of the foundation like this weekend, with Paralympians alongside kids discovering sport and a whole community cheering them on. Funds raised will provide equipment, training and mentorship for people with physical disabilities.
