Garth Brooks Halts Ticket Sales for Third Kansas City Show Over Bot Activity

Friday, October 23, 2026 · States · GSM News

Country star Garth Brooks's team announced on October 23 that ticket sales for the third Kansas City show of his “Blame It All On My Roots” tour have been shut down due to excessive bot activity. Whether the added show, a 2 p.m. matinee on November 7 at T-Mobile Center, will go ahead, and whether tickets already purchased will be honored, remain undecided.

According to ticketing industry outlet TicketNews, the third show was added earlier in the week after strong demand for the first two shows. Tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. Central that day through AXS, all priced at $155. Shortly after the sale opened, Brooks's team posted on X that sales for the third Kansas City show had been shut down due to excessive bot activity, and that Brooks and the promoters are evaluating next steps.

Brooks then apologized personally, saying the bot situation is out of hand and has been progressively getting worse on this tour, that his concern is for the fans who managed to buy tickets before the bots crashed the sale, and that he will personally look into what can be done. The statement did not clarify whether purchased tickets remain valid, and gave no timetable for resuming sales. It was the second time on this tour that an added show's sale was halted over bots: on September 22, a third Salt Lake City show's sale was stopped about 30 minutes after it began, and Brooks quickly assured buyers then that their tickets would be honored.
