Ohio High School Football Final Rankings Out Oct. 25, Top 12 in Each Region Reach the Playoffs

On October 25, the Ohio High School Athletic Association will release the final computer rankings for the 2026 football season, setting the statewide playoff brackets. Under the rules, the top 12 teams in each region advance to the playoffs, the top four seeds receive first-round byes, and the playoffs begin October 30. In Stark County, for example, nine teams have essentially locked up playoff berths after the regular season and five more have a chance to reach Week 11; among them, Massillon, at 9-1, sits third in Division II, Region 7, and Jackson, at 8-2, is fourth in Division I, Region 1, both with a chance at a first-round bye.
