Denver Broncos Injury Report: CB Pat Surtain II a Full Participant; Waddle, Allen and Hufanga Do Not Practice

Wednesday, October 28, 2026 · Sports · GSM News

DENVER, Colorado — The Denver Broncos' injury report ahead of their Week 8 game against the Kansas City Chiefs showed All-Pro cornerback Pat Surtain II as a full participant in Wednesday's practice, while wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, defensive lineman Zach Allen and safety Talanoa Hufanga did not practice.

Surtain, who injured his ankle in Week 4 against the San Francisco 49ers, has missed the Broncos' last three games; he was limited in all three practices last week and improved to a full participant on Wednesday, his first full practice since October 2. Hufanga injured his ankle in the Week 5 win over the Chargers and has missed the last two games. Allen (hamstring) and Waddle (chest) were each injured in the Week 7 win over the Arizona Cardinals; Allen said 'I'll be fine' after Sunday's game, while Waddle's status for Sunday is uncertain, with local reporting that there is some hope he can play.

Elsewhere on the report, tackle Garett Bolles (hip) and wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. (ankle) were limited, while defensive tackle Malcolm Roach (neck) and inside linebacker Karene Reid (elbow) were full participants.

Denver will practice again Thursday and Friday before releasing final game statuses on Friday. The winner of Sunday's divisional showdown in Denver will hold first place in the AFC West.
