Follow-Up: Selma Blair Breaks Silence on Airplane Arrest, Apologizes on Video and Says She Never Intended Harm

American actress Selma Blair posted an emotional video to Instagram on Friday afternoon, October 30, breaking her silence nearly three weeks after her airplane arrest and apologizing to those affected, according to TMZ. It was her first public statement since the incident.
"Not one day ever have I intended to hurt or frighten anyone a day in my life," Blair said in the video. "To the people that I disappointed, that I hurt, that I frightened, alarmed, I am so sorry."
Blair said she had stayed quiet since the October 11 incident because her lawyers instructed her not to discuss the specifics while her legal case plays out. She thanked fans for their outpouring of support, saying their messages have meant everything to her, her son, Arthur Saint Bleick, and her service dog, Scout.
She ended the video saying she is focusing on her health and her son, sending love and gratitude to everyone who has reached out.
Background: As TMZ previously reported, Blair was arrested on October 11 after allegedly punching and biting flight attendants aboard a Delta flight to New York's JFK Airport. She was later accused of kicking a police officer and a nurse while receiving medical attention. She was charged with two felony counts of second-degree assault involving the officer and the nurse, pleaded not guilty, and her next court date is set for January 19, 2027. Her representative previously told TMZ she experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged behavior.
