Washington scored 14 fourth-quarter points to rally past Nebraska 17-10 on Saturday night, October 31, at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, improving to 5-3 while Nebraska fell to 5-3 in Week 9 of the college football season.

Nebraska started fast: quarterback Anthony Colandrea led a 10-play, 95-yard drive and hit Carter Nelson for a 24-yard touchdown and a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. Washington was held to 118 first-half yards and scored only on Tyler Robles' 50-yard field goal in the second quarter, trailing 7-3 at halftime, though its defense intercepted Colandrea twice in the first quarter to keep the game close.

After a scoreless third quarter, Nebraska kicker Kyle Cunanan missed a 36-yard field goal early in the fourth. With about six minutes left, quarterback Demond Williams Jr. took over the Washington offense, and with 1:30 remaining he finished a 12-play, 81-yard drive: Chris Lawson first kept it alive with a fourth-and-18 reception, then caught a 25-yard touchdown pass to put Washington ahead 10-7.

On the second play of Nebraska's next drive, Alex McLaughlin intercepted Colandrea's pass intended for tight end Luke Lindenmeyer and returned it 48 yards for a touchdown, making it 17-7 with 1:07 left — Colandrea's third interception of the night. Nebraska added a late field goal to reach 17-10, but ran out of time as Washington completed the comeback for its second straight road win.
