San Diego Symphony Gala Concert on Nov. 21: Isabel Leonard and Jason Mraz Share the Stage
The San Diego Symphony holds its annual gala, AMPLIFY, at the Jacobs Music Center in San Diego, San Diego County, California, on Nov. 21: a reception at 5 p.m., a one-night-only concert at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 8 p.m., with proceeds supporting the orchestra's artistic and education programs.
Music and Artistic Director Rafael Payare conducts the San Diego Symphony, joined by mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard and singer-songwriter Jason Mraz in their first appearance together. Composer Mason Bates contributes an opening fanfare written for the evening. Dinner is by Tracy Borkum's Urban Kitchen Group, with chef Richard Blais taking part.
