Follow-up: UNC Coach Belichick Fires Back at Breakup Question, Saying He Will Keep His Personal Life to Himself

University of North Carolina head football coach Bill Belichick fired back at a November 2 press conference in Chapel Hill, Orange County, North Carolina, when asked about his split from Jordon Hudson. WRAL reporter Brian Murphy asked Belichick whether he had any comment on the reports and what the split might mean for the football program. The 74-year-old replied, 'Do you work for a tabloid now?' After a brief pause he added, 'I'll keep my personal comments and relationships to myself if that's alright with you.' The press conference then moved on to other questions.
Belichick and Hudson, 25, reportedly split last year, but Hudson has remained a frequent presence around the North Carolina program this season, including the sidelines during the September 12 win over East Tennessee State, Belichick's postgame press conference after the October 3 loss to Notre Dame, and the celebration after the October 17 win over Duke.
