Eastbound Interstate 394 Reopens Ahead of Schedule in Minneapolis

Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota — The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced on Monday, November 2, that the regular eastbound lanes of Interstate 394 between Highway 100 and downtown Minneapolis have reopened several weeks ahead of schedule after months of construction.
FOX 9 reported that during the closure eastbound traffic was squeezed into the express lanes, inconveniencing commuters; the reopening also restores the connection to Interstate 94 and several ramps. The E-ZPass lanes remain closed and are expected to reopen later this week, while the Linden Avenue ramp to westbound I-394 was set to reopen on November 3.
MnDOT cautioned that occasional overnight closures may still occur through the end of the year as crews finish sign work, and urged drivers to check its channels for the latest conditions.
