Senator Collins's Maine Office Vandalized With Red Paint; Police Investigating

Tuesday, November 3, 2026 · States · GSM News

Multiple outlets reported on November 3 that the Biddeford, York County, Maine, office of U.S. Senator Susan Collins was vandalized on the night of November 2: red paint was poured on the sidewalk in front of the building and an accusatory message was left. Collins told media the act was unacceptable and unfair to the staff who work in the office, adding that staff were not intimidated and the office opened as usual that day. Her campaign team confirmed that Biddeford police are investigating; it is the second vandalism at the office in just over a month.

Reports said the office's location had previously drawn protests amid controversy over immigration enforcement, and tensions have continued for months. Police have not released information about any suspects or the direction of the investigation. The office said it will cooperate with police, continue serving residents who come for help, and urged people to express their views peacefully. Police said anyone with information can contact local police, and investigators will examine physical evidence and nearby surveillance footage before announcing further developments.
