Denver Votes November 3 in Special Election for At-Large Council Seat B

DENVER, Colorado — Denver voters cast ballots on November 3 in a special election for at-large City Council Seat B, held alongside the midterm elections to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of former Councilmember Sarah Parady.
According to the City and County of Denver's official website, Parady resigned on August 5, 2026, and the City Council declared Seat B vacant the same day, scheduling the special election with the November 3, 2026 coordinated election. The winner will serve the remainder of the term, through July 2027. Denver's at-large council seats are elected citywide, unlike district seats, so the result will affect municipal decision-making across the city.
The special election was held on the same ballot as federal, state and local contests, with Denver voters also deciding congressional races, state offices, city measures and school board seats. Colorado votes by mail, and ballots had to be received by 7 p.m. on Election Day — a postmark alone is not sufficient — though voters could also vote in person at voting service centers. The Denver Clerk and Recorder's office administers the election, and voters can check polling locations and ballot status through official channels. The result becomes official after the count and certification are complete.
