Counting Update: Mazzei Leads Munson With 524,345 Votes in Oklahoma Governor's Race

Oklahoma's governor's race had not been called on the night of November 3. Associated Press figures show 1,788 of 1,984 precincts reporting, about 90.12%, with Republican Mike Mazzei at 524,345 votes and Democrat Cyndi Munson at 445,970. The AP lists the race as too early to call.
Oklahoma polls closed at 7 p.m. and counting followed. Early in-person and mail ballots initially showed Munson ahead, but as Election Day ballots were counted, Mazzei moved ahead and widened his lead. Mazzei, a former state senator who won the Republican primary runoff and was endorsed by Trump, faces Munson, a state representative. They are competing for the seat being vacated by term-limited Governor Kevin Stitt, in Oklahoma's first election of a new governor in eight years. Also on the ballot were eight executive offices including lieutenant governor, attorney general, treasurer and auditor, a Corporation Commission seat, retention votes for four state supreme court justices, two ballot measures, 25 state Senate seats and all state House seats. Final results must be officially certified.
