Some Miami-Area Polling Places Change for Election Day; Voters Must Use New Locations

Tuesday, November 3, 2026 · Cities · GSM News

On Election Day, November 3, some voters in Miami-Dade County, Florida, will be redirected to new temporary polling places because construction and scheduling conflicts have made the original facilities unavailable. The county elections office said the adjustments were necessary due to facility construction, scheduling conflicts and other circumstances; voters in affected precincts should report to their new temporary locations on November 3 rather than their previously designated sites, and signs will be posted at the old locations.

Affected voters were notified directly by mail, email and text. Affected precincts include Precinct 002 (new location: Gateway Park, 151 Sunny Isles Blvd.), Precincts 127, 183 and 184, Precinct 227, Precinct 300, Precincts 305 and 372, and Precincts 404, 424, 523, 548, 670, 705, 801, 805, 825, 836 and 857, with new sites at schools, parks and community centers.

Florida's 2026 general election is Tuesday, November 3; mandatory early voting ran October 24-31 and the registration deadline was October 5. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., voters must bring a photo ID with a signature, and anyone in line by 7 p.m. may vote. The county urges voters to confirm their precinct's current location before heading out.
