Early Voting Ends in Columbus With More Than 93,000 Ballots Cast in Franklin County

In-person early voting for the November 3, 2026 general election in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio, ended at 5 p.m. on November 1. A total of 93,166 voters cast ballots at the Franklin County Early Vote Center on Morse Road — about twice the 2022 level — and Board of Elections Director Antoine White called the turnout “very busy and very exciting.”
Another 82,928 Franklin County voters requested absentee mail ballots, and 70,729 had been returned as of November 1. Ohio law requires absentee ballots to be delivered by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, and there was no early voting on Monday, November 2.
On Election Day, voters must go to their assigned neighborhood polling locations, open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with anyone in line by 7:30 p.m. allowed to vote. The board's office at 1700 Morse Road will not serve as a regular Election Day polling place. Earlier this month, 54,645 voters received polling-place change notices; locations can be checked on the board's website or by calling 614-525-3100, and voters must bring an acceptable photo ID.
