Nebraska Votes on Election Day: Governor and U.S. Senate Seats on the Ballot

Nebraska's 2026 general election reached Election Day on November 3, with polls in Omaha, in Douglas County, and across the state open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Central Time and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mountain Time. Voters must show an accepted photo ID, and mail ballots must reach the county election office before polls close; a November 3 postmark alone is not enough.
In the governor's race, Republican incumbent Jim Pillen is seeking re-election against Democratic nominee Lynne Walz, a former state senator, with two additional candidates on the ballot. In the U.S. Senate race, Republican incumbent Pete Ricketts is seeking his first full term, facing nonpartisan candidate Dan Osborn and three other candidates: Chuck Conboy, Mike Marvin and Robin Richards.
All three of Nebraska's U.S. House seats are also on the ballot. In-person early voting ran from October 5 through November 2 at county election offices, and results will be released by the Secretary of State after polls close.
