New Hampshire Senate Race: Pappas Faces Sununu as the Governor's Race Sits Tied

Seacoast voters in New Hampshire went to the polls on November 3 to decide a U.S. senator, U.S. House members, the governor, and the state Senate, state House and Executive Council, with results arriving through the night. In the Senate race, Democratic U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas faced former Republican Sen. John Sununu. In the 1st Congressional District, Democrat Stefanie Shaheen faced Republican businessman Anthony DiLorenzo. Shaheen voted on the morning of November 3 at Little Harbour School in Portsmouth's Ward 5, saying voters' top issues were the ongoing Iran war and the Trump administration's tariff policies. In the governor's race, Republican incumbent Kelly Ayotte sought re-election against Democrat Cinde Warmington. A final University of New Hampshire Survey Center poll released November 1 showed Pappas leading Sununu 54-42, Shaheen leading DiLorenzo 56-43, and the governor's race narrowed to a 48-48 tie; the survey interviewed 2,182 residents online from October 27 to 31 with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.1 points.
