Tuesday, November 3, 2026 · States · GSM News

Doña Ana County voters began voting at 7 a.m. on November 3, with polling places open until 7 p.m. and anyone in line at 7 p.m. still able to vote. The county has 150,978 eligible voters, and about 1.4 million voters statewide decided the 2nd Congressional District seat and state offices including governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, attorney general, auditor and treasurer. The South Central Regional Transit District offered free rides on November 3 for Doña Ana County voters who needed transportation to polling places, with details at scrtd.org or by calling 575-323-1620. Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver announced on November 2 that 456,726 eligible voters statewide had voted as of that morning, including 385,114 in-person early ballots, up from 353,569 in the 2022 midterms. After weekend extreme weather, the Secretary of State's office confirmed all Election Day voting sites were open as planned. Voters who still held mail ballots were urged to return them in person by 7 p.m. to a voting location, official drop box or county clerk in their county of registration; unofficial results would be posted after 7 p.m., and counting pauses at 11 p.m. on election night under state law.
