Provident Bank Awards $83,000 in Grants to Ten New Jersey Nonprofits Focused on Housing and Financial Literacy

Provident Bank, based in the U.S. state of New Jersey, announced in Iselin on November 3 that it has awarded $83,000 in grants to ten local nonprofit organizations through its Community Development Partnership Program. The grants will advance financial literacy education, affordable housing, and homeownership, and help meet the credit needs of the communities served.
The ten recipients are the Central Jersey Housing Resource Center, Clinton Hill Community Action, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newark, the Housing & Community Development Network of New Jersey, the Housing Partnership, Ironbound Community Corporation, New Jersey Community Capital, NORWESCAP, the Urban League of Essex County, and the Urban League of Union County, working in areas including affordable housing construction and rehabilitation, neighborhood revitalization, homebuyer education and financial coaching, and opportunity creation for low-income families.
Roxanne Camejo, Senior Vice President and Community Development Officer at Provident Bank, said that this year the bank is able to support more organizations with a larger investment, reflecting how much need and opportunity there is across its communities, and that the partners are delivering real results in housing, education and financial empowerment.
The bank said the Community Development Partnership Program builds on its long record of working alongside nonprofits to strengthen the communities it serves; since July 2023 it has partnered with more than a dozen local nonprofit organizations through the program, sharing a goal of fostering economic opportunity and sustainable community growth.
