Wednesday, November 4, 2026 · States · GSM News

Massachusetts saw near-summer warmth on November 4. The National Weather Service office in Norton forecast a high of 78 degrees Fahrenheit in Boston, about 20 degrees above the normal November 4 high of 56 degrees; eastern Massachusetts was generally expected to run 15 to 20 degrees above normal. NWS Norton meteorologist Bill Leatham said the unusual warmth was tied to factors including a warm air mass over the region. Cape Cod stayed cooler, with Hyannis forecast at 65 degrees and Provincetown at 65. Rain was forecast to begin on the night of November 5 and continue on and off until about November 7, with temperatures gradually returning to seasonal levels from November 8.
