Chiefs Coach Andy Reid Confirms Harrison Butker Remains Kicker for Week 9 Game Against Jets
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid confirmed to reporters on November 4 that Harrison Butker will remain the team's kicker for the Week 9 game against the New York Jets. Butker has been inconsistent this season, missing six field goals and one extra point through the first seven games. The Chiefs signed kicker Justin Tucker to the practice squad in late October, fueling speculation about competition at the position, but Reid made clear on November 4 that Butker remains the first choice. The Chiefs are on a two-game losing skid and hope to stop it. Reid said the coaching staff trusts the veteran's experience and ability to adjust, and the team still has confidence in Butker.
