On the afternoon of November 4, Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York, hosted a Chinese Culture and Conversation Table, offering students, faculty and community members interested in Chinese language and culture a place to meet and talk. According to the event listing of the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, the session ran from 5 to 6 p.m. on November 4 in Room 114 of the Hall of Languages; learners of all levels were welcome to meet friends old and new, practice Chinese and talk about Chinese culture in a relaxed setting.

The Chinese Culture and Conversation Table is a regular campus cultural exchange activity at Syracuse University, meant to build understanding among students of different backgrounds through face-to-face conversation. For Chinese international students and American students learning Chinese, it is both a place to practice the language and a window for making friends and sharing hometown culture. There is no language threshold, and beginners are welcome to simply show up at the Hall of Languages.
