Chinese Arts Alliance of Nashville Offers Free Chinese Drumming Workshop on Nov. 14 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee: Six Spots, First Come First Served
The Chinese Arts Alliance of Nashville (CAAN), a Chinese cultural organization in Nashville, Tennessee, will hold a free Chinese group drumming workshop on the morning of November 14 at Nashville Chinese School, open to adults 18 and over, with only six spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.
According to CAAN's event listing, the workshop runs from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on November 14, taught by members of its Drumming Infusion Project, covering basic Chinese group drumming and improvisational drumming, at Nashville Chinese School, 3201 Hillsboro Pike. The group says group drumming helps relieve stress, builds community connection and introduces participants to the art of Chinese drumming. The workshop is provided free by CAAN.
CAAN is a nonprofit dedicated to promoting Chinese American art and culture, presenting performances and cultural programs across the Nashville area and partnering with Nashville Chinese School. The workshop is one of its community cultural offerings, with registration confirmed in order of sign-up. Nashville's Chinese community continues to hold cultural activities through platforms such as the Chinese school and arts groups, offering local Chinese families and the wider community a window for exchange.
