Morissette's First Holiday Album Arrives November 6: Brandi Carlile Duet, Steve Martin on Banjo

Alanis Morissette releases the first holiday album of her career, Good Weather for Immaculate Conception, on November 6 via Epiphany Music and Virgin Music. The 14-track record arrives alongside its lead single and a Los Angeles residency.
The lead single, Beautiful Star of Bethlehem, pairs Morissette with Brandi Carlile and features Steve Martin on banjo. Other guests include Martin Short on "Merry Christmas," Joy Oladokun on "Silent Night," Amythyst Kiah on "Momma Mary" and the Trans Voices choir on "O Tannenbaum." Originals "Christmas on the Dance Floor" and "To an Empath at Christmas Time" sit beside covers of "O Holy Night," "Last Christmas" and Joni Mitchell's "River."
Morissette has said her outlook on Christmas changed completely when her son was born on Christmas morning, a story at the heart of the album. She supports the release with her Butterfly with a Machete residency at Los Angeles' YouTube Theater on November 5, 6, 10 and 11.
