Follow-up: Gunman in Tampa Citibank campus shooting identified; motive tied to $2,500 debt and court summons

The Tampa Citibank campus shooting that GSM reported on November 4 saw new developments on November 5. Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister confirmed at an afternoon press conference that the gunman was Jacob Pearson, 35, of Orlando, who was angry over roughly $2,500 in debt owed to Citibank and a court summons he received on November 4.
Pearson crashed through the campus gate on November 4 and fatally shot Citibank employee Leanne Selman, 41, in an outdoor dining area, then entered the cafeteria, where he was shot and killed by John Fraley, a Citibank security vice president and Marine veteran. Four others were lightly injured. The first 911 call came in at 12:11 p.m. on November 4, and about 3,200 employees work on the campus.
The Sheriff's Office released body-camera footage and 911 audio on November 5. The investigation continues. (Source: Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office)
