Follow-Up: Serbia's Electoral Commission Adopts Final Election Results: Student List Wins 140 Seats, Vučić List 103

Thursday, November 5, 2026 · World · GSM News

Belgrade — Serbia's Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) on November 5 adopted its overall report on the results of the October 25 National Assembly elections, formally establishing the final outcome and the allocation of all 250 seats. The "Student List – Students Win" took 2,354,417 votes and 140 seats, clearing the 126-seat majority threshold, while "Aleksandar Vučić – United Serbia" received 1,731,323 votes and 103 seats.

The report was adopted at the commission's 75th session, chaired by RIK President Vladimir Dimitrijević. It consolidates voting on October 25 and the repeated voting held on November 1 at 53 polling stations. Voting took place at 8,392 polling stations; 6,451,292 voters were registered, 4,444,310 turned out for a turnout of 68.89%, and 4,441,636 ballots were cast.

The remaining seven seats went to national-minority lists: the Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians and an Albanian list won two seats each, and three other minority lists won one seat each. The Student List's projected tally of 139 seats during the preliminary count was fixed at 140 in the final report.

Under Serbia's constitution, the first session of the newly elected National Assembly must be convened by the speaker of the previous parliament within 30 days of the proclamation of the final results — by December 5. Holding an absolute majority, the Student List controls the government-formation process. Vučić conceded defeat on election night, and a presidential election must also be held by December 27.
