Escondido to Reactivate Grand Avenue and Juniper Street Signal on November 16

The City of Escondido, in San Diego County, California, announced on November 6 that on Monday, November 16, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., crews will officially reactivate the traffic signal at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Juniper Street downtown, transitioning it from its long-term flashing mode back to normal red-yellow-green operation.
Motorists should expect brief delays during the transition window and allow extra travel time, the city said, as crews complete the physical cutover, timing adjustments and final system testing. Drivers are asked to use extra caution as traffic adjusts to the normal signal operations. Crosswalk indicators will be active and synchronized with the standard signal phases; pedestrians should press the pedestrian push button to request the walk signal and cross when the walk symbol appears.
The intersection sits along Grand Avenue in Escondido's historic downtown, where the signal had remained in flashing operation for an extended period.
