San Diego County Urges Residents to Document Valuables for Insurance Before Disaster Strikes

San Diego County, in Southern California, issued a home emergency preparedness advisory on November 6 titled "Document Your Valuables for Insurance Purposes."
As the county prepares for El Niño and elevated wildfire risk, residents are encouraged to document their valuables, safeguard important records and review their emergency plans before disaster strikes, so that insurance claims and recovery can proceed with documentation in hand.
The advisory, a roughly two-minute read, was distributed through the county's official subscription service.
