Friday, November 6, 2026 · California · GSM News

The City of Pasadena, in Los Angeles County, California, announced on November 6 that registration is now open for volunteers for the 2027 Pasadena Homeless Count, which will take place on the evening of Wednesday, January 20, 2027, and the morning of Thursday, January 21, 2027. Hosted annually by the Pasadena Partnership to End Homelessness and the City of Pasadena, the count sets in motion a year of community engagement and action.

Volunteers will be organized into teams of four to five people and assigned to a specific zone; teams will count and survey individuals experiencing homelessness throughout Pasadena and distribute cold weather supplies. The two shifts run from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on January 20 and from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on January 21, and volunteers must participate in both shifts. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and attend a mandatory online orientation on the evening of January 13, 2027. The registration deadline is January 5, 2027; questions can be emailed to [email protected].
