Friday, November 6, 2026 · Society · GSM News

The City of Pasadena, in Los Angeles County, California, announced on November 6 that registration is now open for volunteers for the 2027 Pasadena Homeless Count, which will take place on the evening of Wednesday, January 20, 2027, and the morning of Thursday, January 21, 2027. The annual count is hosted by the Pasadena Partnership to End Homelessness and the City of Pasadena.

Volunteers will be organized into teams of four to five people, assigned to specific zones across the city to count and survey individuals experiencing homelessness and distribute cold-weather supplies. Teams will work two shifts: Wednesday, January 20, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Thursday, January 21, from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. The city said the count sets in motion a year of community engagement and action on homelessness.
