Charlotte Independence Host Forward Madison in Semifinal With USL League One Final Berth at Stake
Charlotte Independence host Forward Madison at American Legion Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, for a place in the USL League One final. It is a pivotal match in Charlotte's bid to reach a second league final; the club lost the 2024 final in extra time and is aiming this season to make up for that disappointment.
Charlotte has performed strongly this season, and in the USL League One award finalists announced recently, five Charlotte members earned six nominations, leading the league. Forward Madison finished the regular season 16-8-8 with 56 points in fourth place, reaching the semifinals for the third time in club history without ever advancing to a final. The teams' head-to-head record this season and their form on the night will decide who takes the final berth.
The semifinal kicks off at 7 p.m. on Nov. 8 at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte and will be shown on ESPN+ and WCCB. The winner advances to the USL League One final against the winner of the other semifinal.
