Bruins Rookie Hagens Placed on Injured Reserve; Eyssimont Recalled
The Boston Bruins announced on the morning of Nov. 7 that forward James Hagens has been placed on injured reserve and forward Mikey Eyssimont has been recalled from Providence. Hagens was injured in the Nov. 5 game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, leaving in the early third period after a hit by Penguins defenseman Samuel Girard and not returning; he has a back injury. The 20-year-old Hagens was Boston's No. 7 overall pick in the 2025 draft, signed with the team this April, and has played 17 games this season with six goals and six assists for 12 points. The Bruins beat the Penguins 6-2 in that game. Hagens's absence will test Boston's forward depth, and the team will lean on other young players to fill the gap.
