Man Found Shot to Death Inside His Gardena Home; Police Seek Tips

Police in Gardena, a city in Los Angeles County, California, said on Saturday, November 7, that a man was found shot to death inside his home on Friday night.
Captain Chris Cuff of the Gardena Police Department said officers were dispatched at about 9:20 p.m. Friday to an assault-with-a-deadly-weapon call in the 2000 block of West El Segundo Boulevard, where they found a man inside a home suffering from gunshot wounds. Arriving paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The victim's identity has not been released, and police released no information about a suspect. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call the Gardena Police Department at 310-217-9692 or 310-217-9635.
It was the second fatal shooting in Gardena this week: on Tuesday night a man was fatally shot in the 14000 block of South Main Street, and the Los Angeles County medical examiner identified him on Friday as Charles Cottingham, 61, who died of an abdominal gunshot wound. That case is being investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Police have not said whether the two cases are connected. (Source: Gardena Police Department)
