About 176,000 Gourmia Air Fryer Ovens Recalled: Doors Can Snap Shut and Burn Hands and Wrists

Saturday, November 7, 2026 · Federal · GSM News

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced on November 5 that Gourmia is recalling about 175,951 of its 9-Slice Digital Air Fryer Ovens, model GTF7530. The oven's glass French doors can unexpectedly close when bumped, posing a burn hazard to consumers retrieving hot food.

According to the recall notice, the company received 57 reports of the doors closing unexpectedly, including 40 incidents of burns to consumers' hands or wrists. The stainless steel ovens sold for about $150 at Target stores and on Target's website from October 2021 through June 2026, with the model number located on the back of the unit.

Consumers should stop using the recalled ovens immediately and contact Gourmia for a free repair kit by mail, which includes an added doorstop and installation instructions. Consumers can reach the company at 888-834-0092 during business hours. (Source: U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission)
