BOSTON, Massachusetts — A 23-year-old Indian student has gone missing in Boston, and Boston police are searching and asking the public for help. The student, Sreeja Koya, from India's Telangana state, is pursuing a master's degree at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Police say Koya left her residence in the Edison Green area of Dorchester at about 9:45 p.m. on Monday, November 2, and has not returned; she was reported missing on November 3 and police issued a missing-person alert on November 4.

Friends say Koya had attended a friend's birthday celebration and went out for a walk after returning, then never came home. Her family in India has also appealed for help and is deeply anxious. In its statement, the Boston Police Department asked for the public's assistance in locating 23-year-old Sreeja Koya, reported missing on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, and last seen leaving her Edison Green residence at about 9:45 p.m. on Monday, November 2.
