Boston's Veterans Day Parade Steps Off at Noon Nov. 7 from Copley Square; Police Issue Weekend Traffic Advisory

BOSTON, Massachusetts — Boston's Veterans Day 'Salute to Service' Parade stepped off at noon on Saturday, November 7, from Copley Square, proceeding along Boylston Street, Tremont Street and Cambridge Street to City Hall Plaza. The Boston Police Department issued a weekend traffic advisory on November 6: parking is restricted on parade-route streets on Saturday, including stretches of Beacon, Boylston, Tremont and Cambridge streets, and drivers were urged to plan detours. The weekend is busy across the city: the Boston Athletic Association Half Marathon runs on Sunday, November 8, and the Hyde Park Road Race starts at 9 a.m. the same day, with parking restrictions along those routes as well. Police said extra officers would be deployed during the parade, and residents were invited to City Hall Plaza for the closing ceremony.
