Stephen Curry Scores 41 as Warriors Beat Magic 126-119 in Overtime for Seventh Straight Win
Stephen Curry scored 41 points with six rebounds and six assists as the Golden State Warriors beat the Orlando Magic 126-119 in overtime on Saturday night, November 7, at Chase Center in San Francisco, extending their winning streak to seven games.
Curry hit a three-pointer with 1:38 left in overtime to put Golden State ahead and added a layup in the final minute. Orlando center Wendell Carter Jr. missed two free throws with 1:15 remaining that would have tied the game. Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg made a key overtime three-pointer and finished with 23 points and eight rebounds.
Franz Wagner led Orlando with 30 points and 11 assists, while Tristan da Silva and Carter scored 19 each; the Magic have lost four straight on the Warriors' home floor. Brandin Podziemski scored 15 points for Golden State and Draymond Green had a season-high 13 assists.
The closing minutes of regulation swung back and forth: Curry scored on a layup with 25.2 seconds left, and Orlando reserve Jamal Cain put back a third Magic attempt with two seconds left to force overtime. Cain finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Orlando trailed 57-41 at halftime before leading 78-77 entering the fourth quarter.
It was Curry's second 40-point game this season and his fourth game of at least 30 points in his last five. The 38-year-old, in his 18th season, recorded his 16th 40-point game after age 35, the most in NBA history, ahead of LeBron James with 15 and Michael Jordan with 12. According to ELIAS, Curry also became the seventh player ever with 26,000 points, 5,000 rebounds and 6,000 assists.
Golden State started the season 0-3 and now has its longest winning streak since winning seven straight from March 3-15, 2025. The Warriors host Charlotte on Monday night, and the Magic visit Sacramento on Tuesday night.
